This limited editionPeak Dairy book recording the daily lives of 44004, 45041, 45133 and 46045 is available now. It will be on sale at the 50th Birthday celebration event on 26th and 27th September, and is also available direct from the club, while stocks last.

The book contains 200 pages of daily loco records of workings, maintenance and overhaul attention plus four colour pictures of each loco representative of their working lives.

Also included are some excellent examples of running performance by 45041 and 45133 and a copy of the 1984 Class 45 loco diagrams so you can see where they were supposed to go and what they were intended to do.

The Peak Thrash CD

The Peak Thrash CD - a collection of 48 of the best peak recordings from the glory days of the 1980s is now available.

The tracks include start ups, shut downs, run pasts, engine room recordings, sounds from the front coach and storming station departures. If you listen carefully, you can hear air compressors, priming pumps, turbo chargers, and that Sulzer roar our favourite locos are best remembered for.

The price is £8.99, please make cheques payable to Great Gable, and post to the club address.

All proceeds will go towards the cost of repainting Great Gable into all over green livery, ready for her 50th birthday this summer.

The Peak Thrash DVD

The 'Peaks in Preservation DVD is now available. It is over 2 hours long and features non stop full throttle action of Peaks that I've filmed over the last 12 years. Every single shot is guaranteed to entertain with "maxthrash" at all times and of course they are 99% filmed on the "exhaust side" for maximun noise (except 45125!). There are absolutely no pootling about shots, shunting or arrival shots!

A full gen sheet with the contents is provided with each DVD.

The DVD is available at a very reasonable £15 including postage and packaging, with proceeds going towards the upkeep of 44004, 45041, 45108 & 46045.
